They flung him outside the city gates to die, not knowing that in that very moment they were lifting up the gates of the universe, to let the King come in. They thought to root out his doctrines, not understanding that they were implanting imperishably in the hearts of Men the very name they intended to destroy. They thought they had God with his back to the wall, pinned, helpless and defeated: they did not know that it was God himself who tracked them down. He did not conquer in spite of the dark mystery of evil. He conquered through it.”
More relevant today than ever with all the doom n gloom that is being promoted 24/7 in our lives. Bad things happen so God must be losing, right? Wrong. The scumbags have control and there isn’t anything God can do about it, right? Wrong. Can’t even express what reading this did for my soul, it’s like I was searching for something and finally found it. Felt I had to share it. It’s from a book I was given randomly by a patient. He came in for a treatment and we got to talking, I usually avoid politics and spirituality but when he realized we were on the same page he insisted. Had a great talk. He came back a week later for a treatment but this time he had a book, we had talked about books we had read about spirituality and he wanted to share one he felt was important. He just gave it to me, didn’t want any money or for it to be returned, it was a gift and one day I should pass it along to someone after I have finished with it. I absolutely love random scenarios like this that allow God to act through us, especially with books. I wish this would happen every day, I love to read and I love experiences like this. God wanted me to read this book and made it happen, and one day there will be another person he wants to read it and I’ll pass it along to them. The magic of books, man, it’s something special.
This passage was so amazing I wish every person in the world could read it. In a world of Free Will, Satan has unleashed unspeakable evil for too many years yet no matter how bad it gets, God is waiting to issue a checkmate. God is ALWAYS in control. Every evil thing done can be turned around so that Good overcomes, he just needs Souljas to fight for it. You might say when God allowed evil to enter our world, God and satan started playing chess. Whoever wins gets the Earth. Satan moves his pieces into attack positions while God holds steady. Even as Satan takes pieces, God still holds steady. Satan has put God in check but cannot get the checkmate. God has yet to attack with his pieces while satan relentlessly attacks. To observers, it looks like Satan is in complete control and will only be a matter of time until he gets the checkmate. God simply will not have enough pieces left to achieve victory, he has let his pieces be taken when he could have moved them out of harms way. But nobody can see his plan, so we cannot see how satan has fallen completely into his trap. Every lock has a key, every evil deed can be overcome with Good. Satan has been “winning” bc he has been the only one attacking, but God is just about done holding steady and will soon implement his plan to get a checkmate. And now satan is in big trouble, he has revealed his plans and has left his pieces exposed, once God starts his attack there will be no way for him to stop it. Satan and his slaves have achieved a lot in what has been a one-sided fight so far, but it’s gonna be a much different story when God shows up. Good people will start to gain power and with the strengths given to us through God, we will turn things around and win this fight. And that is the only goal, to win this fight. Every soul has and will have to sacrifice, some more than others but in the end if we achieve victory for the Greater Good then it’s all worth it. The rewards of victory belong to all Mankind thanks to Jesus. It has taken all of us from the beginning of Free Will to get to this point and it will take all of us to win the day.
