The POWER of Prayer

IMG_0781I have to be honest; up until a few months ago, I had forgot about the power of prayer. I have my brother @rustypach to thank for the reminder.
We were sitting around just chillin when the conversation moved spiritual. We found something we didn’t agree on and were having a little debate. I don’t remember what I said but his answer was, “Pray!” And my response was “pfft pray” like it was the most ridiculous thing in the world. But I immediately caught myself. D’Arcy didn’t say a word, he saw that I was aware and let me work through the moment.
I thought, “wtf did I just say, that wasn’t me.” Then it hit me, that was the devil in me. I consider myself to be a Godly man not only strong in faith but in works as well, I believe I am extremely prepared for all of satans tricks and deceptions that would take us down. And yet I still able to be influenced by the devil but thanks to the strength and knowledge God has given me I was able to see through the influence of evil and overcome it.
It was a great reminder that no matter how many victories we achieve, we can never let our guard down against evil. It will always try to find a vessel to spread it but through our connection to God and Jesus we will always stay prepared so that it is just a thing to be talked about.
So after my self realization, I started think about prayer more. I pray every day pretty much and have for as long as I can remember but I still didn’t get it. I know that now. My brother was talking about how there is more power, praying in numbers of 2 or more people. The more people the stronger. Makes so much sense now that I think about it. God is essentially, energy. In a prayer circle you hold hands with everyone. Holding hands connects the energy of all the people in the circle and prayer directs all that energy to God. That is why there is more power in prayer circles, nothing God loves more than seeing his children come together as one connecting with Him.
Prayer circles don’t mean that everything you pray for will happen or not happen. It just means that sometimes the things you pray for will come to fruition. God cannot change anything on his own or free will would be dead. But there are some things that we can influence the outcome of with the power of prayer that might have gone the other way if not for our efforts. It’s a case of, sometimes you can’t get something unless you ask.

I found myself trying to think of a time other than before a meal where my family all prayed together. And I was embarrassed that my answer was that we haven’t. All this time sharing our faith with each other and we never prayed together. That’s the influence of satan right there bc he knows it’s bad news for him and his plans when Gods people come together in prayer. Not only can our energy help each other but we can access more of Gods energy as well, giving us the strength and guidance to overcome evil. I am happy to say we have changed that and pray together regularly. 🙂

For anyone wondering, our prayer circles consist of holding hands to form a circle but shape doesn’t matter lol , someone starts the prayer talking to God, then we go around the circle giving everyone a chance to pray for as many things as they want. Then when everyone has had a chance, someone will close the prayer and that’s it. I can say i always feel great after a prayer circle, it’s a palpable difference for me. It’s amazing to see some of things we have prayed for come to fruition, truly joyful. But like I say, not everything we have prayed for has happened but we are not doing this asking God to prove anything. We are just coming together to let him know many hearts desire these prayers to be realized and if there is anything He can do, please do it.

Hopefully I have been able to accomplish my goal of explaining the power of prayer, it really is something. May everyone have a joyous Sunday, I will keep you all in my prayers and hope to share a prayer circle with you someday. Much love and God Bless! 😎 Cheers!
